Good morning, We are expecting a period of strong to damaging northwest winds to develop tonight and continue into Friday afternoon. Strongest gusts up to 60 mph are expected in the eastern slopes of the Berkshires, Worcester County and northwest Middlesex County in Massachusetts. Gusts of up to 50 mph are expected in the lower elevations, with the greatest frequency of those gusts taking place after sunrise on Friday. High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories are now posted, from 7 PM tonight until 7 PM Friday. Although we expect wind gusts to gradually subside late in the day on Friday, there is high confidence in wind gusts staying above 35 mph tonight until after sundown on Friday.
