Good afternoon, There has been little change in the dangerous heat forecast. However, the Heat Advisory has been expanded to include portions of Essex County in northeast Massachusetts. The Heat Advisory remains in effect through late Tuesday, with heat indices ranging from 95 to 100 degrees. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible from 2 to 10 PM across much of southern New England. This will bring the risk of damaging wind gusts and heavy downpours, which may lead to street flooding. As previously mentioned the weather remains active mid to late in the week with showers and thunderstorms and the potential for heavy rains. For more detailed information on the heat and strong storm risk Tuesday, please check out the attached briefing.
