Good evening, Sending an update regarding the potentially significant winter storm for Sunday through Monday night. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for north central CT, northern MA and central MA, from midday Sunday through Monday night. *Sunday through Monday Night Storm* *What: *Significant snowfall with impactful accumulations possible. A wintry mix may occur over portions of southern New England, especially eastern MA, RI and northern CT. - Snowfall accumulations could range from 6 to 12 inches across much of interior southern New England. - Accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are possible along the I-95 corridor in northeast MA, including the Boston area, except 2 to 5 inches of snow is possible along the immediate shoreline. A wintry mix with sleet and rain is possible at times. - Accumulations of 5 to 10 inches are possible across north central CT. A wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is possible at times, with up to 0.2 inch of icing. - While a wintry mix is also expected over northeast CT, RI and into southeast MA, lesser accumulations are expected due to mixing with or a changeover to rain. Snowfall amounts mainly 1 to 4 inches are possible. *When:* Mid-day Sunday through Monday night. *Where:* Much of southern New England, where a Winter Storm Watch has been posted.
