Strong to severe thunderstorms along with potential localized flooding through this evening ... * *What / Where / When ... * - Scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of which will be strong to severe will sweep across the area into evening hours, exiting off S-coastal New England around 10 pm. - Locally strong to damaging winds which may result in isolated tree and/or power line damage. - Heavy downpours with potential 1-4” per hour rainfall rates will contribute to localized urban, poor-drainage flooding. Storm total rainfall amounts up as high as around 3”. ************************************************************************************* *2.) Heat and Humidity Friday through Sunday ...* *What ...* - Hot and humid weather with highs in the 90s to lower 100s. - Heat indices ranging around 95F to 110F. Dew points in the low to mid 70s.
