Good afternoon, Another surge of Arctic air will be returning to Southern New England Thursday and Friday, which will bring a period of gusty to strong northwest winds to go along with low wind chill temperatures. Northwest wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph will be common, but wind gusts up to 50 mph are expected in the higher terrain of Massachusetts and coastal portions of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Please find attached a one-page briefing with attached graphics showing the wind advisory areas, and the maximum wind gusts. We've also included a graphic showing the expected lowest wind chills - which would occur Thursday night to early Friday morning - for your decision-making needs.
