Precipitation will overspread southern New England after midnight Saturday, and continue into Saturday evening. Depending upon temperatures, areas of light sleet or freezing rain are possible. Eventually, any precipitation will transition to rain by Saturday afternoon. The temperature forecast will be critical, where only a small change can make a big difference in outcomes. A Winter Weather Advisory is possible when confidence increases. Also, colder air arrives Saturday night, and especially Sunday night. Any remaining wet surfaces will freeze Sunday night.
