FLASH FLOOD WATCH in effect (Thursday morning through late Thursday night)* - For all of S New England, especially S&E areas. - Rain begins this evening, heaviest occurring late morning into early afternoon Thursday. - Forecast 1 to 2 inches of rainfall, locally higher amounts. - Lingering snow and ice melt will add to this issue, along with any clogged drains. - Snow cover and/or hardened ground, any and all rain likely to runoff. - Urban / poor drainage flooding, potential for flooded basements. - Minor river flooding possible. - *Strong to damaging winds, potential for downed limbs, trees, power outages* - *HIGH WIND WARNING *for SE-coastal MA & RI (9 am to 7 pm Thursday). - *WIND ADVISORY *for E-coastal MA & N RI (9 am to 5 pm Thursday). - Strongest Thursday morning into Thursday Afternoon, gusts up to 60 mph. - For all of Southern New England especially S&E areas of MA & CT, as well as all of RI. - *Gales winds and high seas ...
