[09.07.2023 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Heat And Humidity Continues Through Friday
Good morning everyone The only real change with this forecast update was to shift the main severe weather threat west of our region this evening. However, an isolated severe thunderstorm or two can not be ruled out across western MA/western CT roughly between 5 and 11 pm this evening. The main threat would be isolated damaging wind gusts. Otherwise, Heat Advisories continue for most of the region away from the immediate coast today and Friday. The heat peaks today with heat indices near 100 this afternoon, but still expect those values to reach into the middle 90s on Friday. Attached is a graphic indicating the main risk of severe weather will be to our west, but an isolated severe storm or two can not be ruled out. We have also attached a map of the Heat Advisories along with the expected Heat Indices Today and Friday. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank You!
