[2025.11.04 AM] NWS Boston/Norton EM Briefing: Damaging WInd Gusts Late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning
Good morning everyone... We have issued a High Wind Watch for all of southern New England late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning for a period of damaging wind gusts. A strong cold front will cross the region Wednesday evening followed by a 3-6 hour period of damaging westerly wind gusts on the order of 55 to 65 mph wind gusts. The worst of the winds are expected between 11 pm Wednesday and 6 am Thursday morning. Given many leaves still remaining on the trees the risk for wind damage and power outages will be exacerbated. While winds will diminish some later Thursday morning and afternoon...westerly wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph will persist through Thursday afternoon. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank You!
