[2020-07-22 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Potential for Strong Thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday afternoon
Good morning, We are expecting two rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms, one this afternoon and another tomorrow afternoon. Storms are expected to be more widespread on Thursday afternoon than on Wednesday afternoon. *This afternoon* *What:* Isolated strong to locally severe thunderstorms in Western MA and CT this afternoon. *Threats:* Localized damaging winds and urban poor drainage flooding. *Timing:* Mainly 3 to 10 PM, although isolated storms could develop earlier. *Location:* Western MA and CT. *Thursday afternoon* *What:* Widespread strong to severe thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon into evening. *Threats:* Localized damaging winds, small hail and urban poor drainage flooding. *Timing:* Mainly 2 to 9 PM, although isolated storms could develop earlier. *Location:* All of Southern New England.
