At the same time, high pressure centered over Northern New England will maintain cold air inland, which may support freezing rain and sleet across Western and Central Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. Details: Freezing/Frozen Precipitation: - Location: Western and Central MA, parts of Northern CT - Timing: Sunday about 6 PM to Monday about 11 AM. - Amounts: From a trace up to one-tenth inch of ice. - Impacts: Slippery roads. - Uncertainty: Some forecast information limits the precipitation to the Worcester Hills and Northeast CT, while other forecast information carries precipitation to the Berkshires. Greatest confidence of ice occurrence is in Worcester County, with lower confidence in the East Slopes of the Berkshires and Western Hartford County.
