Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

Strong west to northwest winds will develop along and behind a cold front
Wednesday afternoon and evening. Wind gusts of 35 to 45 mph are likely.
However, there is the potential for even stronger wind gusts to reach or
possibly exceed 50 mph. If the potential for stronger wind gusts increases,
then a Wind Advisory or High Wind Warning will be issued.

At this time, it appears that this strong wind potential looks greatest for
the Mohawk Valley, Capital Region, and Berkshires north into the southern
Adirondacks and across southern Vermont.
