Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,
An approaching low pressure system will spread rain showers from south to
north into eastern New York and western New England late Friday night into
early Saturday morning. Temperatures are expected to be near to just above
freezing at the onset of precipitation early Saturday morning, so a brief
period of sleet and freezing rain is possible, which could result in
slippery spots on untreated surfaces. The most likely time frame for any
possible frozen precipitation is 4-10 am Saturday, with plain rain showers
likely during the afternoon and evening.
