Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,
Winter Weather Advisory issued for western Greene County and western Ulster
County in eastern New York and Berkshire County in Massachusetts from 3 AM
to noon Saturday.
An approaching low pressure system will spread rain showers from south to
north into our region late tonight into early Saturday morning.
Temperatures are expected to be near to just above freezing at the onset of
precipitation early Saturday morning, so a brief period of sleet and
freezing rain is possible, which could result in slippery spots on
untreated surfaces. The most likely time frame for any possible frozen
precipitation is 3 AM until noon Saturday, with plain rain showers likely
during the afternoon and evening.
Please see the attached briefing.
