Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

Dangerous heat conditions will continue through Sunday:

   - Excessive Heat Warning continues through tonight for the Capital
   Region, Mohawk Valley, mid-Hudson Valley,  southern Taconics and Litchfield
   County.
   - Heat Advisory is in effect for the rest of the area tonight.
   - Excessive Heat Warning continues Sunday for eastern Ulster, Dutchess
   and Litchfield counties.
   - Heat Advisory is in effect during the day Sunday for much of the rest
   of the area, except the western Mohawk Valley and southern Adirondacks.

The heat wave will come to an end Sunday night and Monday with the passage
of a cold front. Highs Monday are forecast to range from the lower 70s to
lower 80s.

Also, scattered thunderstorms are expected through Monday with the most
widespread coverage Sunday night through Monday.  Thunderstorms could
contain gusty winds and very heavy rainfall resulting in localized urban
and small stream flooding.
