Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

As a storm system approaches the region, light snow will develop very late
tonight through around sunrise Sunday.  The precipitation will change to
sleet and freezing rain Sunday morning after sunrise, before ending as
plain rain showers during the day on Sunday afternoon.  Areas north of I-90
may see a wintry mix linger into the evening hours, especially over the
higher terrain.  The combination of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will
lead to hazardous travel conditions.  A Winter Weather Advisory has been
expanded to all of eastern New York and western New England.

In addition, southeasterly winds will gust to around 50 mph Sunday morning
into the afternoon over portions of the southern Greens, northern/central
Taconics, Berkshires, and western Adirondacks.  These winds may bring down
trees, limbs, and powerlines, leading to isolated power outages.  A Wind
Advisory has been issued for these areas.
