Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for eastern New York and western New
England. Light snow early this morning will change to sleet and freezing
rain after sunrise, before ending as plain rain showers this afternoon.
Areas north of I-90 may see a wintry mix linger into the evening hours,
especially over the higher terrain. The combination of snow, sleet, and
freezing rain will lead to hazardous travel conditions.

A Wind Advisory has been issued for the southern Greens, northern/central
Taconics, Berkshires, and western Adirondacks. Southeasterly winds will
gust to around 50 mph today across the Advisory area. These winds may
bring down trees, limbs, and powerlines, leading to isolated power
outages. .
