Dear Emergency Managers and other partners,

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for northern Herkimer Counties
and Hamilton Counties until 4 AM Tuesday.  Snow totals of 3 to 6 inches are
expected there.

Outside of northern Herkimer County, a widespread light snow event is
expected this morning with amounts ranging between a coating up to 1 inch,
except in the southern Adirondacks and southern Greens of Vermont where 2
to 4 inches are possible. Given the timing of the event and colder
temperatures, slippery travel conditions may occur for the morning commute.

Then, there is the potential for another snow event Tuesday night into
Wednesday bringing additional light snowfall amounts to the region, with
the highest amounts across western Adirondacks and western New England.

In addition, west to northwest winds may gust up to 45 mph in some
locations on Wednesday.
