[Weather] [2019.02.22 PM] Wintry Weather Saturday Night into Sunday Followed by Strong, Damaging Winds Sunday Night through Monday Night

Good afternoon,

Wintry weather forecast for Saturday night into Sunday, while strong to
damaging winds are anticipated Sunday Night through Monday Night. Please
see the attached storm graphics for specifics concerning forecast magnitude
and timing.

*Headlines ... *

   - *GALE WATCHES ...*
      - For the eastern waters beginning midday Sunday.
      - For all other waters beginning Sunday night continuing through
      Tuesday morning.

*What / Where / When ...*

   - Onset light snow / sleet quickly to freezing rain across the interior
   before changing over to plain rain, while snow to sleet to rain along the
   coast.


   - Saturday night concluding into Sunday.
         - Beginning around 10 pm for Hartford / Springfield, around
         midnight for Worcester / Providence, and 2 am for Boston.


   - Ice accretion of a trace up to two tenths.
         - Highest amounts across the Berkshires and Worcester Hills, as
         well as the neighboring Pioneer Valley.


   - Overall a low-impact event given weekend timing.
         - Snow / ice covered roadways lingering into Sunday morning,
         expect slick conditions and hazardous travel, especially
across the N/W
         interior away from the coast.


   - *Behind the associated storm system, strong to damaging winds are
   forecast. *


   - Beginning Sunday night, height of the winds around Monday, gradually
      diminishing through Tuesday.


   - Highest wind gusts around 45 to 55 mph, not ruling gusts as strong as
      60 mph, centered around Monday.


   - Impacts of downed tree limbs / trees as well as power lines.
         - Possible power outages, blocked roadways due to tree / power
         line debris.
