[Weather] [2019.07.21 AM] Extreme Heat and Humidity Today/Rain and Thunderstorms Mon-Tues.

Good Morning.

Extreme heat and humidity will continue today. We expect heat indices of
105 to 115 degrees by the afternoon and evening.  A cold front will move
through Southern New England late today or tonight, then stall off the
South Coast. Low pressure moving up the front will bring local downpours
and scattered thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday.

As before, we have attached a couple of graphics to highlight this weather.

*No Changes To Current Headlines ...*

   - Excessive Heat Warnings continue today for most of Massachusetts, all
   of Connecticut and Rhode Island.
   - Heat Advisories continue today for Berkshire County, Cape Cod, and
   Martha's Vineyard.


*What/When/Where ...*

   - Extreme heat and humidity continues today across all of Southern New
   England, except for Nantucket and Block Island.
   - Maximum Heat Index values will be between 100 and 110 degrees for most
   of the region.  Heat Index Values will be between 96 and 104 degrees across
   Berkshire county, Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard.


*Relief From The Heat/Humidity ...*

   - The extreme heat should be finished by Monday, although it may still
   get rather warm and humid with highs well up into the 80s to near 90.
   - Humidity levels will diminish on Monday from oppressive to noticeable.
   - More significant relief arrives late Tuesday and Wednesday.


*Thunderstorms / Heavy Rain / Flooding Potential ...*

   - Chance of heavy downpours,  localized urban and poor-drainage flood
   risk Monday afternoon through Tuesday.
   - Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches possible.
   - A few strong to severe storms are possible Monday afternoon into
   Tuesday, mainly along and south of the MA Pike.
