Good Morning Everyone,

We have high confidence that a wind shift from the northwest to the
northeast will occur between 1 PM and 5 PM and will be accompanied by a
burst of strong winds and a temperature drop into the 50s over the coastal
waters and on Cape Cod and Nantucket. Here are the details:

*Cape Cod and Nantucket:*

   - A Wind Advisory is in effect from 1 PM to 9 PM.
   - Minor wind damage, such as a few downed branches, may occur.

*Coastal Waters:*

   - Gale Warnings have been expanded to include most of the Massachusetts
and Rhode island coastal waters through early tonight.
   - A rapid wind shift to the northeast and burst of 40 to 45 knot wind
gusts will first occur around 1 PM off Cape Ann and will reach the waters
adjacent to Cape Cod and the Islands between 3 PM and 6 PM.
   - This has the potential to catch mariners off guard, especially
recreational boaters. Be prepared for a sudden increase in wind gusts this
   afternoon along with choppy seas.
