Good morning,
Here is an update on the potential strong to severe thunderstorms this
afternoon and evening. The overall threat remains about the same as what
was forecast yesterday.
*WHAT/WHEN:*
- A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible today* between 2 pm
and 9 pm*.
*WHERE:*
- The threat is mainly to the northwest of the Boston to Providence
corridor. The *highest risk* appears to be across *Western/Central MA
and Northern CT*.
*POTENTIAL IMPACTS:*
- Localized damaging wind gusts and large hail
- Low risk of a tornado
- Torrential rainfall may result in localized street flooding
*UNCERTAINTY:*
- The coverage of severe weather appears isolated, but there is a low
risk that a few localized areas experience a significant impact.
