Good morning everyone,
Damaging winds from overnight have exited the region during the predawn
hours. However it will be windy during the daylight hours today but winds
will not be at the magnitude of last night. Nevertheless west winds of 20
to 30 mph with gusts to around 45 mph may be strong enough to down
additional small tree limbs and branches especially over Cape Cod and the
Islands where winds may gusts up to 55 mph. At the very least this will
have some impact on power restoration efforts today. Thus a wind advisory
has been posted until 5 pm today for all of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and
northern Connecticut. Toward sunset and especially thereafter winds will
begin to diminish.
