[Weather] NWS Boston EM Briefing - Update

BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov
Sat May 16 00:40:02 UTC 2020

Hi Everyone,

We have added Suffolk and Norfolk Counties in eastern Massachusetts
(including Boston) and Providence County in Rhode Island to the Tornado
Watch, which is in effect until 10 PM.

The greatest threat for damaging winds and perhaps a tornado is in
northeast Massachusetts, but there is the potential for damaging winds into
metro Boston and northern Rhode Island. The line of storms will begin to
weaken as it approaches Providence, RI and Hull, MA.

Thanks,
Joe DelliCarpini
