[Weather] [2021-02-13 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Light Wintry Mix Tonight/Sunday and Possible Winter Storm Late Monday/Tuesday

Good afternoon,

Please find attached the latest one-pager briefing on the potential light
wintry mix tonight into early Sunday. We have issued a Winter Weather
Advisory for areas along the South Coast and the Cape and Islands overnight
for total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of a
light glaze.

We have also attached a second one-pager briefing for a possible light
wintry mix on Monday followed by a more potent winter storm late Monday
into Tuesday that could bring significant ice accretions to much of the
area. There remains a great deal of uncertainty with the precipitation
types and transition timing but the setup is favorable for an ice storm
across Southern New England. We have attached a preliminary ice accretion
forecast map to give you an idea of the potential ice accretion amounts.
This will be subject to changes as we get closer to the event.

The next briefing will be no later than 5 AM on Sunday, February 14. Thank
