[Weather] NWS Boston EM Briefing - High Terrain Heavy Wet Snow

BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov
Thu Dec 15 21:48:50 UTC 2022

Good afternoon,

There are no significant changes since the last briefing. A high impact
winter storm is expected for elevations above 1000 ft in Massachusetts and
Connecticut, late tonight and continuing Friday/Friday night, before
tapering off early Saturday morning. Snowfall amounts will be highly
dependent on elevation and the biggest concern is snow load issues and
possible power outages. A full briefing slide deck is attached.

Kevin Cadima, Torry Gaucher and Andrew Loconto
