Good morning everyone,
As you may have seen, a Red Flag Warning has been issued for all of
southern New England for today, Tuesday April 11th, with the exception of
Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
The Red Flag Warning was prompted by:
- Anomalously dry conditions over the last several days
- Relative Humidity values less than 25% this afternoon
- Gusty W/SW winds up to 30 mph
Note that any fires that start today will spread quickly and could be
difficult to contain. With dry conditions expected the rest of the week, it
is likely that additional fire weather headlines will be considered over
the coming days.
Kind Regards,
Kristie Smith and Andrew Loconto
