[Weather] [2023.07.17 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing - Thunderstorms and Potential Flooding on Tuesday

BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov
Mon Jul 17 08:34:47 UTC 2023

Good morning everyone,

We want to give you a heads up that our next chance for thunderstorms with
heavy downpours and localized flooding is Tuesday afternoon. This is not
expected to be anything like Sunday's event in terms of coverage/magnitude.
Western/central MA and CT are the most likely locations to be impacted.
This is where we have a Slight (level 2 of 3) risk of excessive rainfall,
mainly due to the already extremely saturated ground/full streams and
rivers. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Bryce Williams and Kristie Smith
