Good afternoon everyone,
Right now it looks like the greatest potential for heavy rain and flooding
Friday into Saturday will be from the New York City area into western
Connecticut, which is just to the west of the NWS Boston forecast area.
As a result, we are not planning to issue any Flood Watches for our
forecast area this afternoon, but it's possible that Flood Watches may be
issued on Friday, especially for the Hartford and Springfield areas, if the
potential for heavy rain and flooding increases.
The attached graphic reflects our latest rainfall forecast for Friday into
Saturday.
