Good Morning All,

A quick moving cold front will bring the potential for minor coastal
flooding, gusty winds, and up to an inch and a half of rain to southern New
England this evening through mid-day Friday. Moderate rainfall of up to an
inch and a half is expected, with the greatest amounts centered across the
state of Connecticut. Additionally, a few rumbles of thunder cannot be
ruled out.

Several headlines were issued overnight. While impacts from this system
will be *minor*, we wanted to keep you abreast to forecast changes. In lieu
of a one pager, graphics have been attached outlining each hazard:

- A Wind Advisory is in place from 2 AM to 2PM Friday for portions of SE MA
and eastern coastal RI given the potential for gusty southerly winds up to
50mph.
- A Coastal Flood Advisory is in place for the south coast, including
Narragansett Bay, for BOTH the late Thursday evening and Friday
morning high tides. Up to 2.5 ft of surge is expected along the south
coast.
- A Coastal Flood Statement is in effect for the eastern shoreline,
including the Cape and Islands for ONLY the early Friday morning high tide.
This statement is driven by minor surge, of up to a foot, caused by high
astronomical tides.
- River Flood Watches are in effect for the Wood River at Hope Junction and
the Pawtuxet River at Cranston beginning late Friday.

As always, please let us know if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,

Andrew Loconto and Kristie Smith
