[Weather] [2024.12.27 AM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Light Icing Expected Saturday

Good morning,

Following is an update regarding an expected light freezing rain event on
Saturday, mainly for areas in Southern New England north and west of
Interstate 95.

*Winter Weather Advisories* have now been issued for portions of
Massachusetts and Connecticut, valid from 4 AM Saturday morning to 1 PM
Saturday afternoon.

We expect only light accumulations of ice, to no more than a tenth of an
inch. Impacts should be limited to hazardous travel conditions.

An updated one-page briefing and supporting graphics are attached, which
include the forecast ice accumulations as well as a graphic outlining the
Winter Weather Advisory area.

Expect our next briefing to be sent by *6 PM Friday*.
