[Weather] [2024.06.17 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Dangerous Heat & Humidity Tuesday through Friday

Good afternoon everyone,

There have been no significant changes in thinking for the upcoming
extended period of dangerous heat and humidity. The only changes to our
headlines were:

1) We downgraded the *Excessive Heat Watch* for tomorrow (Tuesday) to a *Heat
Advisory* since we should not reach Excessive Heat Warning criteria.
2) We trimmed most of Rhode Island and southeast MA out of the *Heat
Advisory* for tomorrow (Tuesday).

The heat and humidity will peak Wednesday and Thursday when Heat Indices
reach 98 to 106 degrees away from the immediate south coast. Not much
relief is anticipated at night with overnight heat indices only dropping
into the 70s.
