[Weather] [2024.03.22 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing

Good afternoon,

Attached is our latest briefing regarding the upcoming storm tonight into
Saturday night. Confidence is increasing for an impactful storm, mainly
from the rainfall and subsequent flooding. Ice accumulations have also gone
up slightly across central and western MA into portions of northern CT.

We are still trying to pinpoint the exact location of the heaviest
rainfall, but it will most likely be across eastern CT, RI and portions of
southeast MA. The heaviest rainfall should still be some time Saturday
afternoon into Saturday evening. Concerns continue for river flooding,
especially the Wood, Pawcatuck and Pawtuxet Rivers in  RI. We will also
need to monitor the Taunton River in southeast MA closely.

No changes to ongoing weather hazard headlines at this time. We will send
that graphic shortly.
