[Weather] [2025.12.17 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Strong to Damaging Winds Friday

Good afternoon,

Please find attached an updated one page briefing and supporting graphics
regarding the potential for strong to damaging winds on Friday.
Additionally, please find a few key points for this update below.


   - A High Wind Watch remains in effect for Cape Cod and The Islands where
   wind gusts up to 60 mph will be possible
   - A Wind Advisory has been put into effect for the rest of southern New
   England where wind gusts up to 55 mph will be possible
   - If confidence in 60+ mph wind gusts increases for The Cape/Islands,
   the High Wind Watch will be upgraded to a High Wind Warning, otherwise the
   Watch will be downgraded to an Advisory
