BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account box.operations at noaa.gov
Fri Dec 19 18:41:48 UTC 2025

Good afternoon everyone...

We just wanted to give one final update in regards to the damaging
southerly winds today. The good news is the strongest of the winds will be
exiting the coastline by 3 pm. While there will be a bit of a lull in the
winds late this afternoon...they will pick back up from a westerly
direction behind the cold front early this evening. While these winds will
not be as strong as what we experienced this afternoon...Wind Advisories
are posted through tonight for westerly wind gusts of 35 to 50 mph. A few
brief gusts near 60 mph can not be ruled out in the high terrain of the
Berkshires and the Worcester Hills.

This will be the last email issued on this event.

Thank You!

Meteorologists: Hayden Frank and Torry Dooley
