Good morning, We want to provide a quick heads-up that most of southern New England is under a *marginal risk for severe thunderstorms* this afternoon. Any thunderstorms that develop will have the potential to produce strong downdrafts, which could result in damaging wind gusts at the surface.* In addition to the isolated severe thunderstorm threat, there is also a risk for urban and poor-drainage flash flooding*, as any storms that develop today are expected to produce heavy downpours. Thunderstorms are forecast to develop after 2PM Please see the attached one-page briefing for more details and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
