Good morning everyone, We wanted to update you on the strong winds we are expecting today. There is also the potential for a winter weather event from Sunday afternoon through Monday night. *NEW*: A *Wind Advisory *has been issued for portions of the east coast of MA (see attached) 1) Thanksgiving Day Winds - Wind Advisory from 10 AM Thursday to 2 AM Friday - Northwest winds gusting up to 35 to 40 mph (45 to 50 mph possible on Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Cape Ann, peaking during the day - Winds will gradually diminish tonight, but may linger across Cape Cod and the islands after midnight 2) Outlook for potential winter weather event Sunday afternoon through Monday - No major changes - A coastal storm develops off the coast Sunday afternoon or night, with the potential for both rain and some significant snow - There is quite a bit of uncertainty as to the exact track and location of the storm and any potential impacts across the region Continue to monitor the latest weather forecast on the NWS Boston/Norton website.
