BOX Operations - NOAA Service Account <box.operations@noaa.gov> [image: Attachments]Dec 29, 2025, 2:58 PM (13 hours ago) to bcc: _NWS, bcc: _NWS, bcc: _NWS Good morning, all: Here is an updated briefing on the strong west winds and gusts into tonight. *Bottom line up front:* Period of strong to locally damaging wind gusts expected into tonight, with peak gusts most likely from mid morning into this afternoon. *What has changed: * - No changes to existing wind headlines *Timing:* - Strong gusts continuing into tonight. - Peak gusts most likely from ~9 AM-3 PM. *Wind Gusts:* - Sustained winds 20-30 mph with gusts 45-60 mph. Highest gusts across the higher terrain of interior Massachusetts. *Confidence:* - High confidence of gusts up to *at least *45 mph. - Moderate confidence for gusts up to 60 mph for higher terrain.
