Greetings everyone,

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Western Massachusetts as
well as portions of Northern Connecticut. The Watch is in effect through 12
am. A graphic showing the watch area has been attached.

   - Main concern is strong to damaging winds associated with a sweeping
line of storms out of Upstate NY, moving east at roughly 45 mph.
      - Numerous reports of downed trees and power lines with 40 to 50 mph
gusts with this line west of Albany, NY.
   - Could see some discrete storms out ahead of the line which could be
   strong to severe.
   - With any and all activity torrential downpours can be expected which
   could contribute to localized flooding.
