Please see the attached briefing which outlines heat hazards Wednesday.
*What ...*
- Hot and humid weather with highs around the upper 80s to lower 90s.
- Heat indices ranging around 95F. Dewpoints around the upper 60s to
lower 70s.
*Where ...*
- Most of eastern MA (excluding Cape Cod & the Islands)
*When ... *
- Through 8 PM Wednesday.
*Impacts ...*
- There remains a risk, albeit lower than today, for heat-related
illnesses such as sunstroke, muscle cramps and/or heat exhaustion with
prolonged exposure.
Heat and air quality headlines also continue into this evening.
In addition to the heat, a few of the thunderstorms which develop
Wednesday may become strong with gusty winds and small hail. These could be
anywhere across southern New England Wednesday.
