[Weather] [03.14.2026 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Gusty Winds and Heavy Rainfall Monday and Monday night

Good afternoon,

We want to update you on a powerful low-pressure system forecast to bring
heavy rainfall and gusty southerly winds to southern New England Monday
into Monday night.

Since our last update yesterday morning a High Wind Watch has been put into
effect for eastern MA and RI. A risk remains for minor to moderate river
flooding as well as flooding of small streams and urban/poor drainage
areas.
