Another storm system is forecast to impact the region with *light to moderate snow accumulation* Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night for all of eastern New York and western New England. **** The information in this email pertains to the following areas only:**** *- In Connecticut: Litchfield County* *- In Massachusetts: Berkshire County* *- In Vermont: Bennington & Windham Counties* *- In New York: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Ulster, Warren and Washington * * Counties* Dear Emergency Managers and other partners, Strong to damaging winds will continue into this evening across much of the region. A High Wind Warning is in effect for all of eastern New York & western New England until 7 PM Monday. Wind gusts up to 65 mph will result in downed trees & scattered to widespread power outages. At least part of the region may be placed in a Wind Advisory after 7 PM this evening. Blizzard conditions will persist in Herkimer County and lake effect snow and blowing snow will impact Hamilton and northern Fulton counties into this evening. Additional 1 to 5 inches of is expected in these areas and the reduced visibility & snow covered roadways will make for hazardous travel. Also, a Wind Chill Advisory has been issued for northern Herkimer and Hamilton Counties tonight into Tuesday morning. Please refer to attached briefing for more details. This system will bring a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain tonight into Sunday morning before changing over to all rain. Less than an inch of snow/sleet and a glaze to one tenth of an inch of freezing rain is expected, which will make for slippery travel and hazardous walking conditions. A *Winter Weather Advisory* has been expanded to include the entire region. Additionally, strong to damaging winds are expected Sunday evening into Monday evening across much of the region. A *High Wind Warning *has been issued for most of eastern New York. A *High Wind Watch *is in effect for the remainder of the region, including Dutchess and eastern Ulster Counties in New York and all of western New England. Also, upslope/lake enhanced snow may produce light to moderate accumulations to portions of Herkimer and Hamilton counties late Sunday night into Monday night. This system will bring a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain Saturday night into early Sunday morning before changing over to all rain. If confidence in ice accretion increases, a Winter Weather Advisory would be issued. Additionally, strong to damaging winds are expected Sunday evening into Monday evening across much of the region. At this time, a *High Wind Watch *has been issued for the western Adirondacks, western & central Mohawk Valley, Schoharie Valley, Helderbergs & eastern Catskills. Additional wind headlines will likely be needed.
