Good morning, Following is a weather update regarding the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms later today. We continue to monitor two potential rounds of thunderstorms for today, but the period we are most concerned about regarding strong to severe storms is this afternoon and evening, mainly north and west of I-95. Storms are expected to take on a line structure, meaning more locations could see thunderstorms, posing a primary risk for straight-line wind damage. There may also be some instances of large hail, torrential downpours capable of street flooding, frequent lightning and even a low risk for an isolated tornado. The main risk timing is between 2 PM and 10 PM. Some risk for strong to severe storms may exist from the Boston to Providence I-95 corridor southeastward, but it is uncertain if storms maintain their strength as they approach the coast. As alluded to above, a round of thunderstorms is also possible early this morning. These would be mainly for CT and south coastal RI and MA, and are not expected to become strong to severe. Good afternoon, Following is a weather update regarding the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms Sunday. Monitoring two potential rounds of thunderstorms for Sunday, but the period we are most concerned for regarding strong to severe storms is for Sunday afternoon and evening, mainly north and west of I-95. Storms are expected to take on a line structure (meaning more locations could see thunderstorms), posing a risk for straight-line wind damage, instances of large hail, torrential downpours capable of street flooding and frequent lightning. Good afternoon, Following is a short e-mail to bring awareness to the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall capable of instances of flooding late this afternoon and tonight. An area of showers and thunderstorms over central Pennsylvania are expected to move into Southern New England tonight. The main risks with these storms are primarily from heavy rain capable of flooding, although isolated instances of straight line wind damage are possible. Good morning, A potential higher end severe weather event is possible this afternoon and evening. This includes the potential for damaging wind gusts, large hail and even the risk for a few tornadoes. A localized flash flood threat also exists. The main time of concern is between 1 and 10 pm with the greatest risk northwest of I-95. The enhanced (level 3) risk was expanded across much of interior MA.
