Hi all, As FYI, here's an EARLY (by 3 years or more) heads up about the NWS replacing all Advisories with plain language statements/headlines. It doesn't take place until 2024 at the earliest. Good afternoon, Unseasonably cold air for Monday night and Tuesday will bring about a period of gusty northwest winds and low wind chill temperatures. Wind Advisories have been hoisted for all of CT, MA and RI for Monday night into Tuesday. Wind Chill Advisories could be needed for the Berkshires in later updates if forecast wind chill values continue to decrease. More information is contained in the attached briefing. A band of heavy snow affected south coastal RI as well as Cape Cod and the Islands with 3 to 5 inches of snow late this afternoon. Periods of snow are expected across the region, mainly light, all the way into Friday night. On Friday afternoon and evening, ocean-enhancement of the snow may increase snowfall rates in eastern MA, which could, if it materializes, adversely impact the Friday evening commute.
