[2024.01.03 PM] NWS Boston EM Briefing: Plowable Snow Possible this weekend

Good afternoon, Just a brief update on our thoughts for this weekend. There has been very little change to the forecast since our initial briefing. Confidence in a plowable snow Saturday night into Sunday is highest for the areas west of the I-495 corridor. Considerable uncertainty remains with respect to overall impacts across southern New England, especially east of I-495, but we expect to have greater confidence and more details as we approach the end of the week. We will continue to provide updates with each morning and afternoon forecast package. Please find attached a one page briefing along with graphics illustrating probabilities of 24 hour snowfall exceeding 3+ inches and 6+ inches between 7PM Saturday and 7PM Sunday. Good morning all, Attached is our initial briefing on the potential for plowable snow late Saturday into Sunday. There is still considerable uncertainty on the track and intensity of the system, so the specific details are uncertain. We've attached the probabilities of 3+ inches of snowfall and 6+ inches of snowfall. Please see the attached briefing for more details.
