Good morning, Please find attached an updated briefing concerning the winter storm this Friday. *What has changed:* 1. Winter Storm Watches have been converted to Winter Storm Warnings north of the Mass Pike. 2. Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for southern CT. 3. There is heightened risk for flash freeze across southeast MA and RI Friday afternoon. *Additional highlights:* 4. Winter Storm Watches continue for northern CT, RI and southeast MA due to uncertainty regarding timing of changeover to wintry mix and snowfall amounts. 5. NWS Boston EM Briefing - Winter Storm Friday

Good Afternoon, attached is the latest update to the expected winter storm on Friday. There is the one pager, along with a few accompanying graphics to show the timing of the snow and the expected change from snow to a wintry mix. Very few changes have been made to the forecast. There is still considerable uncertainty to accumulations south of the Mass Pike due to the exact timing of the change from snow to a wintry mix. We are more confident that there will be a period of 1" per hour snowfall rates that will generally line up in timing with the Friday morning commute.
