Good morning, Attached is an updated storm total snowfall graphic to account for a narrow band of moderate to heavy snowfall that has developed and extends from roughly New Haven CT northeast to Boston MA. This change is mainly reflected through 7am. Beyond that the snowfall forecast remains the same as before. Notice the increased storm totals over Windham county CT, Providence county RI, and Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex counties in MA. This will be the last update for this storm barring any major changes. Good afternoon: Attached is an updated weather briefing for the accumulating snow event expected to affect Southern New England very late tonight into Friday. The most significant changes were the conversion of the Winter Storm Watch to Winter Storm Warnings, except across Dukes County where a Winter Weather Advisory was issued. In addition, the Winter Weather Advisory previously in effect for Windham and New London Counties in CT have been upgraded to Winter Storm Warnings. Expect another updated briefing by 6 AM Friday. Good morning, Attached is an updated briefing regarding the winter storm tonight into Friday. The most substantial change compared to our earlier briefing is the issuance of a Winter Storm Warning and Winter Weather Advisories, where confidence is highest. Winter Storm Watches have been issued where there is the greatest uncertainty. These areas under a Watch are at risk for 6 inches or more of snowfall, but confidence is not yet high enough to issue a Warning. The potential for heaviest snowfall rates, greater than 1" per hour, looks to be centered along the I-95 corridor in MA and RI, southeast to near the Cape Cod Canal. Good Afternoon, Attached is an updated briefing regarding the potential winter storm late Thursday night into Friday. The most substantial change compared to our earlier briefing is the issuance of a Winter Storm Watch for all of Rhode Island (with the exception of Block Island), and Bristol, Plymouth, Suffolk, Norfolk, and SE Middlesex counties in Massachusetts. The potential for heaviest snowfall rates, greater than 1" per hour, looks to be centered in these areas, primarily along and east of the I-95 corridor. A snowfall map has also been attached for your convenience. Widespread 4-6" snow totals are expected across SE MA and RI. Localized higher amounts are possible. Good evening, We are sending an update to the briefing package sent at 130 PM Tuesday afternoon. This is to message a light icing event due to freezing rain and freezing drizzle with impacts to the Wednesday AM commute. We are also still monitoring the potential for a winter storm later Thursday night into Friday. *Light Icing To Impact Wednesday AM Commute* A period of light freezing rain or freezing drizzle is expected to begin early Wednesday morning. Slippery, icy roads are expected to cause impacts to the Wednesday morning commute for areas north and west of I-95. Temperatures are expected to warm above freezing by noon. Attached is a one page briefing & a graphic which includes the Winter Weather Advisory area. Unless there are significant changes to the forecast, *this will be the final briefing regarding this light icing event.* *Potential Winter Storm Late Thursday Night into Friday* We continue to monitor the potential for a winter storm to bring accumulating snow to Southern New England.
